Coffee Craft Coffee Shop
Coffee Craft Coffee Shop is an innovative architectural interior design project that exemplifies the evolution of contemporary coffee shop spaces through its remarkable adaptable framework and multifunctional capabilities. Located in Beijing, this 400-square-meter establishment transcends the traditional coffee shop concept by incorporating a sophisticated modular design system comprising eight partition doors and two partition curtains, enabling five distinct spatial configurations to accommodate various functional requirements. The design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, masterfully integrates cultural and architectural references, including a notable homage to Archigram through its ceiling panels suspended over the bar counter, featuring a capsule-shaped panel reminiscent of an airship. The space's aesthetic is characterized by premium materials, including rhombic steel screens, stainless steel and copper metal panels in the bar area, and copper-colored aluminum panes with ultra-white opaque glass on the main facade. A particularly striking feature is the desert garden installation, surrounded by four mirrors creating an infinite space illusion, referencing Area 51 in the Nevada desert. The project, completed in 2016, demonstrates exceptional innovation in its ability to transform between gallery space, venue area, and meeting rooms while maintaining its primary function as a coffee shop, effectively addressing the contemporary demand for versatile commercial spaces through thoughtful architectural solutions and material selection.
