Coding Life Shop is an innovative retail space design that exemplifies the metaphorical concept of transformation and new beginnings through its distinctive egg-shell inspired architecture. Created by designer Jane Ao and completed in December 2017, this 80-square-meter commercial space specializes in high-tech daily use products and represents a significant achievement in experiential retail design. The exterior architecture masterfully integrates a steel structure skeleton with white curved surfaces reminiscent of an egg shell, extending to an egg yolk veneer, creating a powerful visual narrative of breaking free and rebirth. This design philosophy aligns with the shop owner's entrepreneurial journey, embodying the Chinese wisdom Without destroying the old, one cannot build the new. The interior layout prioritizes customer engagement through strategically placed experience zones and arc-shaped display areas that facilitate intimate product demonstrations and create mini-exhibition spaces. The innovative design approach earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in spatial planning, material selection, and conceptual execution.
