CMYK Profile
CMYK Profile is a set of instructions that tells printers how to mix cyan, magenta, yellow, and black inks to match colors as closely as possible to what is seen on a designer's screen. In print design, using the right CMYK Profile helps keep colors looking the same across different printers and papers. Some profiles are made for glossy paper, others for matte, and each profile helps control how much ink is used so the paper does not get too wet. Designers can choose a CMYK Profile that matches the final print material, which helps avoid surprises when the project is printed.
