Club House - Drip Line Entrance Hall

Club House - Drip Line Entrance hall is an award-winning architectural interior design project located in Shanghai's historic Bund district, exemplifying a harmonious fusion between historical heritage and contemporary design aesthetics. This sophisticated entrance space, which garnered the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design category, masterfully addresses the architectural dialogue between the historic Bund and the modern Pudong skyline across the Huangpu River. The design's primary feature is its innovative use of Italian marble, incorporating wood-grain patterns with horizontal veins throughout the floors, walls, and ceiling, comprising one-third of the total material usage. The careful selection and placement of marble tiles creates a continuous, uninterrupted flow of veins from floor to ceiling, requiring exceptional precision in both material selection and installation. The lighting system, strategically embedded within the lower shadow lines of the walls and ceiling, enhances the space's elegance while complementing the marble's natural patterns. The project, completed over six months, overcame significant technical challenges, particularly in supporting the substantial weight of ceiling-mounted marble while maintaining perfect symmetry and alignment. The design philosophy draws inspiration from the reflective qualities of the Huangpu River, incorporating Western architectural elements while maintaining sensitivity to local cultural context. This entrance hall, measuring 1800x600mm for the Italian marble components and featuring 800x800mm Angola granite elements, represents a thoughtful approach to modern luxury design that maintains its contemporary relevance while honoring its historical context.
