Cloud End Sales Center
Cloud End Sales Center is an innovative commercial interior design project completed in 2016 in New Taipei City, Taiwan, showcasing a sophisticated blend of functionality and aesthetic excellence in a 294-square-meter space. The design, created by Jia-Ru Chen and Josh Luo, transforms a triangular base into an expansive, symmetrically balanced structure featuring asymmetrical interior elements that create visual interest and spatial dynamics. The center's ground floor encompasses a lobby reception counter, prototype display area, and client discussion spaces, while the second floor houses more private reception areas. A distinctive feature of the design is its massive wooden wavy ceiling on the ground floor, symbolizing a sea of clouds and creating a dynamic spatial rhythm through innovative use of calcium silicate dye instead of traditional veneer. The interior palette employs non-chromatic grey tones complemented by pale wooden colors to establish a tranquil atmosphere, while material implications effectively delineate different functional zones. The design's sophisticated approach is evident in its large French windows, which serve both as display elements and natural light sources, attracting passersby. The second floor's Japanese-inspired aesthetic, featuring wooden surfaces and carefully curated display cabinets, represents a deliberate departure from the ground floor's design language, employing soft, indirect lighting to create an elegant and refined atmosphere. This exceptional design earned recognition at the A' Design Award competition, receiving a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to commercial interior design.
