Clexi Secure Flash Drive
Clexi Secure Flash Drive is an innovative encrypted storage device that combines advanced security features with smartphone-controlled accessibility, representing a significant advancement in personal data protection technology. This sophisticated peripheral device, designed by Maryam Heydarian and Bahram Piri, integrates military-grade encryption with biometric authentication via Bluetooth technology, establishing a new paradigm in secure portable storage solutions. The device's distinctive design draws inspiration from Roman imperial helmets and incorporates the letter 'x' as a visual representation of privacy, featuring an elegant combination of rose gold and gray finishes complemented by an interactive LED indicator that provides visual feedback during operation. Measuring 16x7x50 millimeters, this compact device is constructed using durable acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plastic to accommodate its Bluetooth functionality while maintaining structural integrity. The innovative approach to security eliminates the need for password entry or additional software installation, instead utilizing smartphone biometric authentication for access control. This streamlined user experience allows for immediate plug, tap, and play functionality while maintaining robust security protocols. The device, which won an Iron A' Design Award in the Computer and Peripheral Devices category in 2020, features a sophisticated sharing system through its dedicated mobile application, enabling authorized user access management. The integration of aesthetic elements with practical security features demonstrates a thoughtful balance between form and function, while the LED illumination system serves both decorative and functional purposes by indicating various operational states through color changes.
