Claude François was a French singer, songwriter, composer, and producer who rose to fame in the 1960s and 1970s. He was known for his innovative and energetic music, which combined various genres such as rock and roll, pop, soul, and funk. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, he released numerous hit singles and albums, including Belles! Belles! Belles!, Le Lundi au Soleil, and Magnolias for Ever. In addition to his music, François was also a pioneer in music videos, directing many of his own videos and experimenting with new techniques and styles. Tragically, François died in 1978 at the age of 39 due to an accidental electrocution while changing a light bulb in his bathroom.
