Circle Unfulfilled Massage Device
Circle Unfulfilled Massage Device is an innovative packaging design solution that exemplifies sustainable design principles while drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese architectural elements, specifically the portals and bridges found in Suzhou Garden. Created by designer Tiger Pan and team, this sophisticated packaging system was developed for massage devices, incorporating both aesthetic and functional considerations. The design utilizes SupraPulp, an eco-conscious material derived from bagasse, which naturally biodegrades within 45-90 days, demonstrating a commitment to environmental sustainability. The packaging's distinctive form, inspired by the concept of incomplete circles and the philosophical principle of WABI SABI, serves dual purposes of maximum product protection and minimal material usage. The design's dimensions are carefully calculated, with the eye massager package measuring 180mm x 132.5mm x 200mm and the neck massager package measuring 300mm x 250mm x 270mm. The outer aesthetic elements incorporate subtle instructional cues that reflect the gentle nature of massage therapy, while the overall color scheme evokes a sense of tranquility and Eastern aesthetics. This innovative approach to packaging design earned recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, acknowledging its contribution to sustainable design practices and cultural integration. The project, completed in Shenzhen, represents a harmonious blend of functional design, environmental consciousness, and cultural aesthetics, setting new standards for sustainable packaging solutions in the wellness product sector.
