CIFI Plaza Beijing Multifunctional
CIFI Plaza Beijing Multifunctional is an innovative architectural masterpiece located in the core business area of Fangshan District, Beijing, representing a pioneering approach to community-centered retail design. This high-rise shopping center, distinguished by its unique vertical configuration and narrow depth, revolutionizes traditional retail architecture by creating a three-dimensional urban space within constrained site dimensions of 120m x 36.5m x 41.6m. The project, encompassing a total construction area of 47,788 square meters, demonstrates exceptional spatial efficiency by incorporating multiple public highlight spaces and entrance levels above ground, breaking away from conventional floor-by-floor layouts. The design's most notable feature is its innovative sectional arrangement, which includes an outdoor cross-level escalator system connecting to the third floor on the east side and second floor on the west side, effectively solving the challenge of vertical circulation in a narrow footprint. A signature element of the development is the Open House, an impressive 1,000-square-meter space with 15-meter ceiling height, positioned at the northeast corner's top floor, serving as a prominent architectural feature and community focal point. The project, which commenced in May 2019, exemplifies sustainable urban infill development, seamlessly integrating social and public spaces to create a vibrant community living room for surrounding neighborhoods. The design's excellence was recognized with a Gold A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to spatial organization, community integration, and architectural creativity. The facade design maximizes interaction between interior spaces and the urban environment, while the retail area of 25,640 square meters demonstrates efficient space utilization within the total above-ground construction area of 25,960 square meters.
