Childlike Purity Office
Childlike Purity Office is an innovative interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of commercial functionality with residential comfort, realized across a 154-square-meter two-floor space in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. Completed in October 2018 by designer Jia-Ru Chen, this Silver A' Design Award-winning project in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category demonstrates a sophisticated interpretation of contemporary Japanese elegant style integrated with playful, childlike elements. The design's distinctive features include strategically positioned structural beams that create a natural division between spaces, while clear glass sliding doors enhance visual connectivity and spatial perception. The first floor encompasses a thoughtfully arranged display area, incorporating a living room, dining room, and kitchen, characterized by varying ceiling heights that subtly delineate different functional zones. The material palette features delicate light brown tones and log furniture, complemented by system storage cabinets that showcase a refined contrast between wood planks and white edges. The second floor houses an open-plan office space with a dedicated office room and a carefully considered void space that accommodates flexible business operations. A notable design element is the employee lounge, which offers views of outdoor greenery, promoting a people-oriented working environment. The project's success lies in its meticulous attention to detail, from the linear staircase connecting both floors to the strategic use of natural daylight, creating an atmosphere that balances professional functionality with emotional resonance. This commercial space, built on residential design principles, effectively promotes products while providing clients with an informative and pragmatic experience, earning recognition for its innovative approach to commercial interior design.
