The project, designed by Benson Wu and Celine Wu, transforms a challenging old house with uneven surfaces and disorganized compartments into a harmonious, light-filled creative workspace. The design philosophy centers on addressing contemporary workplace challenges, particularly in Asian business environments, by creating spaces that foster interpersonal interaction and creative decompression. The office's distinctive features include a sophisticated material palette combining metals, stones, and artisanal cement flooring, complemented by a strategic use of penetrating elements that blur the boundaries between interior and exterior spaces. A notable six-meter-wide iron display shelf serves multiple functions, including storage and plant integration, while custom-designed doors featuring wood, glass, and perforated plates with titanium handles demonstrate exceptional attention to detail. The space utilizes four-sided windows to maximize natural illumination, while the thoughtful arrangement of different zones maintains visual connectivity without compromising functionality. The design earned recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to workplace design.
