Chao Yang is a highly acclaimed Associate Professor in Visual Communication Design and Graphic Designer from China. An esteemed artist, Chao Yang was selected for the prestigious 2013 DAAD Artists Scholarship from the German Government, the only Chinese artist to be honored by the DAAD evaluation committee from Bonn, Germany. In 2014, Yang delivered the theme lecture “China Says, Graphic - Visual Language” at the international symposium “Social Science and Culture Studies” organized by DAAD at Martin-Luther-Universitat Halle-Wittenberg, Germany. Yang also served as a Visiting Researcher at Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture in 2015, and as a Visiting Scholar to Braunschweig University of Art, Germany, from 2013 to 2014. Yang's design works have been internationally acclaimed - they have earned him several honors and accolades, including a Golden Prize from the Italian A’ Design Award and Competition, and Los Angeles International Design Awards (IDA) Golden Prize and Silver Prize. In addition, Yang has also been recognized for his work in China, winning a Golden Prize from the China International Advertising Festival, a Golden Prize from the China Star Design Art Award and a Golden Prize from the China Packaging Design Contest.
