Ceramic Forest Office is an innovative interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of corporate functionality with artistic ceramic-inspired aesthetics, completed in 2013 in Taipei, Taiwan. This sophisticated 514-square-meter office space, designed by I-Ju Chan, Hsuan-Yi Chen, and Su-Huang Hung, masterfully incorporates elements derived from ceramic art and manufacturing processes into its architectural vocabulary. The design features a distinctive elevator lobby that symbolically references traditional kilns, enhanced by LED lighting that creates dynamic layering effects and showcases Taiwanese folk art motifs. The interior employs a refined color palette dominated by white and grey tones, complemented by elegant grey plaster primer paint that accentuates the humble beauty of ceramic materials. The workspace layout strategically positions supervisor offices along the perimeter to maximize natural light exposure through curtain-wall glass, while technical areas such as server rooms and accounting offices are thoughtfully situated in interior zones. The design incorporates advanced acoustic solutions, including Mexin ceiling and Bolon carpet installations, to create an optimal working environment. The showroom area features a notable circular arc ceiling design that symbolizes a ceramic mug's opening, while white wall cabinets and metalwork details maintain a minimalist yet sophisticated aesthetic. This exceptional design earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to commercial space design and its successful integration of brand identity with functional workspace requirements.
