Centre Of Light Lamp

Centre Of Light Lamp

Centre of light Lamp is an innovative lighting fixture designed to transform the dining experience by creating a contemplative atmosphere through focused illumination. This thoughtfully crafted pendant lamp, designed by A.Legawiec & O.Kiedrowicz-Świtalska, employs a triangular form symbolizing ascension and spirituality, addressing the contemporary challenge of rushed, mindless eating habits. The design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category, features a sophisticated construction utilizing 3mm plywood and precision-cut copper components, complemented by an orange braided cable. Standing 700mm in height with a 400mm x 400mm footprint, the lamp creates a mystical aura around food through its carefully directed light. The warm illumination, characterized by tones between red and yellow, is specifically engineered to stimulate appetite and enhance the sensory experience of dining. This innovative approach to lighting design not only serves a functional purpose but also acts as a social catalyst, encouraging mindful eating and meaningful gatherings. The lamp's distinctive feature lies in its ability to create an empirical, sensual space through its focused beam, emphasizing the depth and essence of objects beneath it. The copper centerpiece, combined with the geometric wooden structure, demonstrates exceptional attention to material selection and craftsmanship, while the E27 bulb housing ensures practical functionality and easy maintenance. This design represents a significant contribution to contemporary lighting solutions, particularly in its approach to combining functional illumination with psychological and social considerations in dining spaces.
