Carta Measuring And Mapping Wheel
Carta Measuring and Mapping Wheel is an innovative digital measurement and planning tool that revolutionizes the traditional measuring wheel concept by integrating smart technology with physical dimensioning capabilities. This sophisticated device, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in the Hardware, Power and Hand Tools Design category, features a distinctive single-spoke design that combines aesthetic elegance with functional innovation. The system consists of a physical measuring wheel that connects to a smartphone application via Bluetooth, enabling real-time mapping and measurement recording. Its unique design architecture allows users to measure distances, perimeters, and areas while simultaneously creating annotated digital maps overlaid on satellite imagery or blueprints. The device's primary innovation lies in its ability to eliminate complex calculations and manual documentation by automatically transferring physical measurements to digital formats, making it particularly valuable for landscape design, construction planning, and DIY projects. The wheel's ergonomic design, weighing 1.7kg and measuring 838mm x 914mm x 76mm, incorporates smooth curves and a minimalist aesthetic that makes it both approachable and professional. The system's bidirectional functionality enables users to not only capture measurements but also translate digital designs back into physical space through directional guidance, effectively bridging the gap between virtual planning and real-world implementation. This integration of physical measurement with digital mapping technology represents a significant advancement in measurement tools, particularly beneficial for professionals and enthusiasts in construction, landscaping, and home improvement sectors.
