Cape Mansions Interior Design
Cape Mansions Interior Design is an exemplary residential interior design project completed in Hong Kong that masterfully demonstrates sustainable design principles through the innovative reuse of materials and collaborative artistic expression. This sophisticated interior transformation, conceived through a partnership between designers and Taiwanese artists, showcases a harmonious blend of natural materials, industrial elements, and artisanal craftsmanship. The design philosophy centers on environmental conservation, utilizing sustainable and recycled materials including wood, iron, stainless steel, bamboo, and plastic to create a contemporary living space that maintains a strong connection to nature. The project's distinctive features include retained slate flooring in the foyer, handcrafted furniture pieces throughout the living and dining areas, and a bespoke suspended light fixture that introduces industrial aesthetics. The kitchen space exhibits a rustic character with exposed blockwork and cement-finished walls, balanced by modern stainless steel equipment and wooden detailing. The private quarters, including a relaxation room with Scandinavian design influences and a master bedroom with cement-finished walls, demonstrate meticulous attention to spatial planning and material selection. The design, which garnered a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, particularly excels in its thoughtful integration of ocean views through full-height glass sliding doors and its innovative approach to combining raw, natural elements with modern sensibilities.
