Cafe Flo La Rosee Casual Dining
Cafe Flo La Rosee Casual Dining is an award-winning French casual dining establishment located in Beijing's prominent commercial district, distinguished by its innovative interpretation of morning dew-inspired design elements and Art Deco aesthetics. The 327.6-square-meter space, completed in January 2018, seamlessly integrates sophisticated design elements with functional dining zones, featuring a distinctive ceiling adorned with crystal droplet-shaped lighting fixtures that metaphorically represent morning dew, creating an atmosphere that captures the romance of dawn in the French countryside. The interior design, conceptualized by David Chang and executed by David Chang Design Associates International, employs a carefully curated color palette combining magnificent gold, calm blue, luxurious orange, and mysterious dark purple, creating a harmonious interplay of warm and cool tones. The restaurant's architectural elements incorporate vertical copper metal details symbolizing tree trunks and branches, while the strategic placement of crystal droplet lighting required meticulous adjustment to achieve optimal visual impact despite ceiling height constraints. The space is thoughtfully divided into two distinct dining experiences: one side features traditional French casual meals in a setting dominated by royal blue tones and refined linear elements, while the other side offers creative culinary interpretations of classic French cuisine. This exceptional design, which successfully balances shopping mall integration with distinct brand identity, was recognized with the Golden A' Design Award in the Hospitality, Recreation, Travel and Tourism Design category in 2019, acknowledging its innovative approach to casual dining design and its contribution to contemporary hospitality spaces.
