Beyond 100 Years Residential Apartment
Beyond 100 Years Residential Apartment is an innovative architectural masterpiece located in the Asia New Bay Area of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, encompassing 83,389 square meters of total floor area on a 6,983-square-meter lot. This distinguished residential complex, recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, exemplifies a harmonious fusion of natural beauty, traditional arts, and cultural elements through its sophisticated design philosophy. The architectural concept revolves around the pursuit of beauty experienced through five sensory dimensions, with an innovative sixth element incorporating individual spirit, drawing inspiration from traditional Japanese garden design principles. The structure's design methodology meticulously explores the interplay between five fundamental attributes: light, space, structure, transparency, and texture, following principles reminiscent of Louis Kahn's architectural theory. Notable features include a dramatic water curtain entrance serving as a transitional purifying space, luxurious stone detailing, and carefully considered spatial organization that creates a profound sense of place. The building's design demonstrates exceptional attention to local cultural context and climate considerations, while its presence in the Asia New Bay Area amplifies its cultural significance. Completed in 2021, the project showcases innovative space utilization, incorporating high-quality reception areas, thoughtfully designed sidewalks that bridge interior and exterior spaces, and architectural elements that symbolize luxury and prestige. The development represents a significant advancement in modern architectural language, establishing new standards for residential design through its integration of classical architectural principles with contemporary spatial solutions.
