Located in Taipei City, Taiwan, this 99.174-square-meter renovation project transforms a three-decade-old residence into a luxurious modern dwelling that harmoniously balances functionality with aesthetic appeal. The design, created by Ming-Kai Hsu, features a masterful combination of premium materials including solid wood grilles, steel-brushed veneer, oak flooring, and granite, enhanced by strategic LED linear lighting and amber mirrors. The space planning demonstrates exceptional consideration for acoustic comfort through the installation of sound insulation foam, while the signature S-shaped curved shoe cabinet serves as both a functional partition and an artistic statement piece, effectively delineating different living zones while maintaining visual flow. The renovation significantly improves the spatial efficiency of the three-bedroom, two-living room layout by expanding public areas and incorporating advanced kitchen facilities.
