5xSao Paulo Interior Design
5xSao Paulo Interior Design is an award-winning residential interior design project that masterfully transforms a 130-square-meter former industrial space into a sophisticated urban loft in Brazil. This innovative design project, which earned the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space Design category, represents a profound interpretation of São Paulo's metropolitan lifestyle through thoughtful spatial planning and material selection. The project's conceptual framework emerged from extensive research involving interviews with five distinct São Paulo residents, whose urban experiences and narratives were translated into architectural elements, colors, and textures. The space is strategically divided into five primary areas: kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom, and bathroom, with ceiling heights varying from 3.5 to 5 meters. The design language harmoniously blends industrial aesthetics with contemporary comfort, featuring exposed concrete surfaces, iron elements, and wired glass window frames that pay homage to brutalist architecture. Environmental consciousness is evident throughout the project, incorporating LED lighting systems, recycled upholstery materials, and sustainably sourced wood. The interior's sophisticated color palette, dominated by gray tones and black accents, is thoughtfully balanced with warm wooden elements and carefully curated Brazilian art pieces, creating an atmosphere that transitions seamlessly from a light-filled daytime space to an intimate gallery-like environment in the evening. The project's success is further demonstrated by its significant public impact, having attracted over 10,000 visitors during its 45-day exhibition period, where interactive elements allowed visitors to fully engage with the space and its innovative design solutions.
