365 Voices Calendar

365 Voices Calendar

365 Voices Calendar is an innovative commemorative daily calendar design that exemplifies the intersection of corporate culture, visual communication, and functional design. Created to mark the 20th anniversary of a prominent Japanese web portal, this meticulously crafted calendar serves as both a practical timekeeper and a meaningful repository of employee perspectives. The calendar's distinctive format presents daily sheets featuring carefully curated thoughts, work philosophies, and personal reflections gathered from employees across various divisions, creating a unified narrative that transcends organizational boundaries. Measuring 95mm in width, 80mm in height, and 35mm in depth, the calendar employs a sophisticated self-standing structure that utilizes its own thickness for stability, eliminating the need for additional support mechanisms. The design, which earned a Golden A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category, showcases Japan's renowned precision in printing and processing technologies. Under the creative direction of Takuya Okamoto and art direction of Katsumi Tamura, with design contributions from Takahiro Sugawara and copy by Toshiyuki Nagamatsu, the calendar incorporates an appendix chronicling organizational history, transforming it into a comprehensive artifact that bridges past and present. Launched in March 2017, this design achievement demonstrates how functional objects can serve as powerful tools for internal communication and cultural cohesion within corporate environments.
