Zhonghai Tianyu Garden Residential Landscape

Zhonghai Tianyu Garden Residential Landscape

Zhonghai Tianyu Garden Residential Landscape is an innovative residential landscape design project located in the Hunnan District of Shenyang, China, exemplifying a harmonious blend of modern aesthetics and functional outdoor living spaces. Spanning approximately 20,900 square meters of designed landscape within a total area of 25,535 square meters, this Silver A' Design Award-winning project seamlessly integrates artistic elements inspired by ballet and Piet Mondrian's geometric compositions to create a sophisticated community gathering space. The design features a series of thoughtfully crafted outdoor rooms that incorporate dynamic screen walls, reflective water features, and carefully selected vegetation to accommodate the region's extreme climate conditions. The landscape employs indigenous species such as Chinese Ash, Siberian apricots, and Ginkgo trees, which not only provide seasonal interest but also serve practical functions like wind protection. The garden's distinctive features include an artful entrance gallery, a quiet leisure center courtyard, and innovative water elements such as millimeter-deep reflecting pools that can be converted to granite-paved activity spaces during winter months. Strategic lighting design enhances the garden's usability and aesthetic appeal during evening hours, while sculptural elements, including ballet-inspired installations, create visual focal points throughout the space. The project, completed in 2019, demonstrates exceptional consideration for spatial relationships, environmental sustainability, and community engagement, setting a new standard for residential landscape design in urban environments.
