Zanadu Travel Experience Space Experience Space is a groundbreaking retail environment that revolutionizes the concept of travel agency design, seamlessly blending digital innovation with physical space to create an immersive travel booking experience. Located in Shanghai, this 600-square-meter experiential space represents a paradigm shift in how travel services are presented and consumed in the modern era. The design, conceived by Xuan Chen and executed by a specialized architectural team, features a distinctive tech-driven aesthetic characterized by an exploded pixel landscape that pays homage to digital interfaces while creating a tangible, three-dimensional environment. The space's centerpiece comprises five monumental digitally stylized balloons, beneath which visitors can embark on virtual journeys through cutting-edge VR technology. The installation incorporates twenty interactive destination cubes equipped with touchscreen monitors, presenting engaging narratives about various journeys, products, and destinations. Two expansive 10-meter-wide projection screens complemented by a surround sound system deliver immersive audiovisual experiences, including a recurring 2-minute cinematic brand film that spans the impressive 20-meter width of the screens. The space's innovative integration of WeChat and QR codes facilitates seamless customer relationship management, while digital clouds suspended from the ceiling and scattered pixel-inspired cubes reinforce the design's technological narrative. This Bronze A' Design Award-winning project in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category has demonstrated remarkable success, attracting approximately 10,000 monthly visitors, with 75% engaging in the VR experience and joining the customer relationship program, making it one of the most visited locations in its retail complex.
