Yun Tea Premium Gift

Yun Tea Premium Gift

Yun Tea Premium Gift is an innovative premium tea packaging design that masterfully integrates Chinese zodiac symbolism with contemporary visual communication principles. This sophisticated design project, created by Jacky Hoi Hung Cheung, represents a harmonious fusion of Eastern and Western cultural elements through its distinctive approach to tea presentation. The design's cornerstone lies in its unique interpretation of traditional chinoiserie willow patterns combined with Chinese papercut zodiac characters, creating a visual narrative that bridges cultural divides. The packaging system consists of teapot-shaped containers measuring 120mm x 140mm x 240mm, crafted from high-quality corrugated paper with single-spot color printing, complemented by individual tea-bag packages sized at 65mm x 56mm x 45mm. A particularly innovative feature is the integration of QR code technology on leaf-shaped tags, linking users to monthly horoscope predictions while they enjoy their tea, thereby creating an interactive experience that merges traditional tea culture with digital accessibility. The design, which earned recognition at the A' Design Award competition, exemplifies excellence in visual communication through its thoughtful incorporation of bilingual brand identity elements and its eco-conscious material selection. The project's significance extends beyond mere packaging design, serving as a cultural ambassador that introduces Chinese zodiac traditions to a global audience through a contemporary lens, while maintaining the sophistication expected of premium gift packaging.
