Yulonghu Community Center is an exemplary architectural masterpiece located adjacent to the Dalong Lake Scenic Area in Xuzhou, China, embodying a harmonious fusion of traditional Chinese architectural principles with contemporary design sensibilities. Completed in July 2021, this sophisticated community center demonstrates exceptional spatial organization through its thoughtfully planned components, including a community lobby, entrance axis landscape garden space, water garden space, curved landscape bridge, front field space, and a sale office. The architectural design draws profound inspiration from the ritual architecture of the Han dynasties, featuring a progressive palace layout and middle positioning that pays homage to historical Chinese building traditions while incorporating modern expressions. The structure's facade showcases a refined three-stage classical composition, with particular attention paid to material selection and detail execution, utilizing silver point white linen insulation stone for the base column and copper-like brushed aluminum plates for the entrance arch and roof lower grille. The project's sophisticated design approach is evident in its careful consideration of the surrounding landscape, creating a seamless integration between built environment and natural elements. The entrance lobby adopts a classical mansion-style form, leading visitors through a carefully choreographed journey that includes stacked stone water yards, an arc bridge spanning an internal river, and strategically positioned viewing points that maximize the connection to the lake-view setting. The building's technical innovation is demonstrated through its sophisticated structural solutions, including a 14-degree eave slope and 2.4-meter projections on both sides, creating an ingenious roof space that appears weightless from human perspective. This exceptional architectural achievement was recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category in 2022, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to contemporary architectural design while maintaining cultural sensitivity and functional excellence.
