This culturally-inspired piece transforms from a practical seating solution into an artistic wall decoration, embodying the Chinese concept of yu (fish) and you (own), symbolizing prosperity and good fortune in Chinese culture. The design features a sophisticated construction utilizing solid wood with mortise-tenon joinery, complemented by a hand-painted porcelain chip inlay that showcases traditional cultural patterns. When unfolded, the stool's silhouette cleverly mimics the form of a fish, with the seating surface representing the head and the legs forming the tail, measuring 314mm in width, 310mm in depth, and 490mm in height. The innovative folding mechanism allows for easy storage and transportation while maintaining structural integrity through metal screw reinforcements.
