Yingjiagong Baijiu Beverage
Yingjiagong Baijiu Beverage is an innovative packaging design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of traditional Chinese cultural elements with contemporary design aesthetics. This distinguished beverage packaging, created by designers Wen Liu and Xianwen Wu, draws profound inspiration from the topographical features of China's Dabie Mountains, incorporating traditional Chinese ink painting techniques and linear expressions to create a visually compelling narrative. The design's primary visual language employs a minimalist approach, featuring expansive white spaces punctuated by elegant green accents that echo the natural environment of the beverage's origin. The physical manifestation of this design comprises a ceramic bottle with a matching ceramic cap, complemented by an environmentally conscious plastic outer packaging measuring 136mm in length, 116mm in width, and 290mm in height. The design particularly emphasizes the ecological significance of its origin in Huoshan County, an international ecological county situated at 30 degrees north latitude, where pristine mountain spring water and natural fermentation processes contribute to the beverage's distinctive character. The project, completed between November 2018 and March 2019 in Shenzhen, successfully overcomes initial challenges in balancing traditional and modern design elements through iterative improvements in both expression and cost control. This exceptional packaging design was recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category in 2020, acknowledging its innovative approach to combining cultural heritage with contemporary design sensibilities, while effectively communicating the product's commitment to ecological production methods and traditional Chinese hospitality.
