Woyun Platform Public Building is an innovative architectural masterpiece serving as the entrance exhibition center of the Giant Panda National Park, exemplifying a harmonious blend of natural elements and contemporary design principles. Completed in September 2021 in Longmenshan Town, Pengzhou city, Sichuan Province, this 2,210-square-meter structure draws inspiration from the region's distinctive geological features, incorporating local bamboo forests, mists, and glacier debris as architectural motifs. The building's sophisticated design comprises three distinct functional zones: a ground-floor bamboo forest serving as a rural living room that connects with surrounding villages, a suspended mists section housing cultural exhibitions, and an upper-level debris zone dedicated to leisure activities. The structure's innovative exterior features 2,343 single-surface aluminum panels divided into 120 straight lines, demonstrating technical precision while optimizing construction efficiency. The building's nocturnal transformation is particularly noteworthy, employing strategically placed LED lighting systems that create a mesmerizing starry universe effect through perforated aluminum panels. This architectural achievement, recognized with a Gold A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, represents a significant advancement in sustainable public architecture, seamlessly integrating local cultural elements with modern technological solutions while fostering community engagement and environmental consciousness.
