Woods Mind Wood skin exhibition hall is an innovative interior exhibition space that masterfully reimagines the concept of a forest within an architectural setting, created by Chinese designer Tacco Lee. This 107-square-meter installation, completed in October 2017 in Zhongshan, Guangdong, China, represents a sophisticated interpretation of natural elements through contemporary design materials and techniques. The space employs a minimalist design philosophy while creating an abstract forest environment that engages visitors in a multi-sensory experience. The exhibition hall's distinctive feature is its innovative use of materials, combining repainted wood, green fluorescent acrylic, white painted cabinets, and deep gray painted aluminium alloy to create an immersive forest-like atmosphere. The ceiling design is particularly noteworthy, featuring thousands of small fluorescent smooth green sticks that create an inverted grassland effect, offering visitors a unique perspective reminiscent of viewing a forest canopy from below. The project, which won the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2018, demonstrates exceptional spatial design through its careful balance of functional requirements and artistic expression. The design successfully translates the organic textures and visual elements of a forest into an architectural language, allowing visitors to experience the tactile qualities of wood and the spatial dynamics of a natural forest within a controlled indoor environment.
