Wood and Sunlight Residential House is an exemplary residential interior design project that masterfully integrates natural elements with contemporary living spaces, completed in 2017 in New Taipei City, Taiwan. This 132-square-meter dwelling showcases a sophisticated approach to biophilic design, featuring a central tree-shaped wooden adornment that serves as both an artistic focal point and a symbolic representation of vitality throughout the space. The design philosophy emphasizes the harmonious blend of Nordic forest aesthetics with functional living requirements, incorporating wooden closets of varying heights to create a forest-like environment within the domestic setting. The interior's color palette is dominated by warm gray tones, characteristic of Nordic design, complemented by strategic yellow wall surfaces that metaphorically represent sunlight diffusion throughout the residence. Notable design elements include a boundless kitchen concept inspired by the forest night sky, featuring a dedicated counter space for culinary activities that promotes social interaction.
