Wonderland Landscape Installation

Wonderland Landscape Installation

Wonderland Landscape Installation is an innovative architectural landscape intervention that harmoniously integrates artificial structures with natural elements, creating a unique recreational space that symbolizes the delicate balance between human development and environmental preservation. Located in Beimen District, Tainan City, Taiwan, this permanent installation spans an impressive 4000 x 15000 mm and employs a sophisticated combination of stainless steel pipes, high-strength paint, hardwood ladders, and heavyweight concrete, with an Indian Almond tree as its central focal point. The installation's design philosophy centers on the concept of symbiosis between built environment and nature, featuring an interlocked tunnel space constructed using precise triangular structural principles and advanced concrete pouring techniques that ensure environmental sustainability. During daylight hours, the installation creates dynamic shadow plays through its architectural elements, while at night, it transforms through carefully programmed LED lighting systems that bathe the space in atmospheric blue tones. The design's post-modern aesthetic is achieved through its industrial materials and geometric composition, while simultaneously emphasizing environmental consciousness through its central growing tree element. This Iron A' Design Award-winning creation in the Street Furniture Design category demonstrates exceptional innovation in urban furniture design, particularly in its approach to combining recreational functionality with environmental awareness. The installation's unique structural design incorporates multi-sized metal frameworks that interlock to ensure stability, while its ecological engineering methods prioritize sustainable development and environmental protection.
