Wm Getaway Family Holiday House

wm getaway Family Holiday House is an architecturally significant residential retreat located in Alwafra agriculture city, exemplifying a harmonious blend of modern design principles with environmental consciousness. This 180-square-meter sanctuary, designed by architect Fahad AlHumaidi in collaboration with interior designer Noura Alshammari and structural designer Jamal Gamber, was conceived as a gathering space for an Arabian horse enthusiast family, completed in May 2015. The structure demonstrates remarkable architectural ingenuity, particularly in overcoming challenging soil conditions near an artificial lake through an innovative composite steel and concrete construction. The design philosophy prioritizes spatial respect for the existing landscape, featuring an internal area of 105 square meters characterized by concrete flooring, white ceilings, and bespoke teak wooden doors. Large windows and strategic door placements maximize natural light penetration and frame panoramic views of the surrounding desert landscape, olive groves, and palm trees. The project, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category in 2016, represents a sophisticated approach to contemporary retreat architecture, successfully integrating structural innovation with aesthetic refinement. The design's emphasis on creating a serene environment away from urban chaos is achieved through thoughtful material selection and spatial planning, while its steel structure roof frame with cement board covering demonstrates technical excellence in modern construction methodologies.
