Within Interior Design

Within Interior Design is an award-winning residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of industrial aesthetics with modern urban living sensibilities. Located in XinZhuang, Taiwan, this 105-square-meter apartment transformation masterfully balances raw industrial elements with refined contemporary design elements to create a sophisticated urban sanctuary. The project, completed in 2018, demonstrates exceptional spatial planning through its thoughtful integration of concrete surfaces, faux cement finishes, and warm wooden elements, creating a compelling dialogue between industrial rawness and domestic comfort. The design's innovative approach to storage solutions seamlessly incorporates functional spaces within a cohesive aesthetic framework, featuring a cleverly designed combination of guest bathroom, storage cabinets, and kitchen areas. The project's distinctive character is enhanced through the strategic use of mirrors to create spatial expansion, while the interplay of materials - including stainless steel, walnut wood, and white marble - adds textural depth and visual interest. The design earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in spatial planning, material selection, and innovative design solutions. The project's success lies in its ability to maintain a strong connection to urban living while creating a warm, functional living space that reflects both contemporary design principles and the client's personal narrative, effectively demonstrating how interior design can bridge the gap between city lifestyle and suburban dwelling.
