The design addresses a common problem in coffee service where accompanying treats tend to slide toward the cup due to conventional saucer geometry, potentially becoming stuck to the cup or dampened by coffee spills. Created by designer Rana Nur Ozdeslik, this innovative solution emerged from extensive observational research and cultural insights, drawing inspiration from various global coffee-serving traditions including Turkish, Italian, Spanish, and Arabian customs.
