Water Droplet Spray

Water Droplet Spray

Water Droplet Spray is an innovative packaging design solution that reimagines the conventional cylindrical spray bottle through a distinctive water droplet-shaped form factor, created by designers Tan YingYi, Wu Yuhan, Li Tianqing, and Kong Yinglu. This ergonomic design, crafted from aluminum through multiple mechanical processing stages, addresses a common user experience challenge where individuals struggle to locate the spray nozzle's orientation upon initial use. The design's intuitive water droplet silhouette naturally guides users to grasp the rounded portion, inherently aligning their grip with the nozzle's direction for immediate and precise operation. Standing at dimensions of 4cm x 4cm x 15cm, this aluminum air mist tank represents a significant departure from traditional spray container design, emphasizing both functional efficiency and aesthetic appeal. The design's innovative approach to user interaction earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, acknowledging its contribution to enhancing user experience through thoughtful design intervention. The project, completed in 2020, demonstrates how subtle morphological changes in everyday objects can significantly improve their functionality while maintaining manufacturing simplicity and cost-effectiveness. The design's success lies in its ability to merge intuitive user interaction with elegant aesthetics, creating a product that not only solves a common usage problem but also elevates the visual language of conventional spray packaging design.
