Washers Of Plastic

Washers Of Plastic

Washers of plastic are small, circular or flat-shaped pieces made of plastic that are used to distribute the load of a threaded fastener, such as a bolt or screw, over a larger area. Plastic washers are commonly used in applications where metal washers are not suitable due to their electrical conductivity, weight, or corrosion resistance. They are also preferred in applications where the washer needs to be non-magnetic, non-reactive, or non-abrasive. Plastic washers are made from a variety of plastic materials, including nylon, polypropylene, and PVC. Nylon washers are commonly used in applications that require high strength and durability, while polypropylene washers are preferred in applications that require chemical resistance and low moisture absorption. PVC washers are used in applications that require good electrical insulation properties. Plastic washers are available in a range of sizes and thicknesses to suit different applications. They can be manufactured in different colors to help with identification and to match the aesthetics of the application. Plastic washers are commonly used in industries such as automotive, construction, electronics, and plumbing.
