Warm Place Residential

Warm Place Residential

Warm Place Residential is an award-winning interior design project completed in 2021 in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, that exemplifies family-centric residential architecture with a particular emphasis on child safety and sustainable living. The 99.1-square-meter apartment interior showcases an innovative approach to modern living spaces through its distinctive use of rounded corners and curves, specifically implemented to create a safe environment for young children while maintaining aesthetic sophistication. The design philosophy centers on the harmonious integration of safety features with contemporary aesthetics, utilizing natural materials and non-toxic finishes throughout the space. Notable design elements include a wave-inspired foyer that optimizes natural lighting while creating an engaging corner space, strategically placed rounded columns that prevent injuries, and a thoughtfully concealed TV wall with integrated storage solutions. The interior palette employs modern, neutral tones accented with blue sliding doors in the bedroom and kitchen areas, creating a balanced visual harmony. The project's material selection demonstrates a strong commitment to environmental and health considerations, incorporating natural wood veneer, eco-friendly non-toxic paint, marble sheeting, and antibacterial recycled laminate. The layout transformation includes an innovative approach to the traditional living room, featuring a flexible couch area that maximizes views and facilitates family interaction. This exceptional residential design, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design, successfully addresses contemporary living challenges while maintaining a sophisticated aesthetic that balances safety, functionality, and visual appeal.
