VUX Virtual User Experience is an innovative interface and interaction design solution that revolutionizes kitchen appliance control through advanced light projection technology. This groundbreaking system enables users to control networked kitchen devices through a virtual control surface projected onto the worktop, eliminating the need for traditional physical buttons and screens on appliances such as hoods, hobs, and dishwashers. The system's sophisticated functionality includes intelligent pan detection, safety features that highlight hot surfaces, and the ability to expand or collapse menu interfaces based on usage scenarios. The interface can be dynamically repositioned across different areas of the worktop through simple hand gestures, offering unprecedented flexibility in kitchen interaction. Developed by a team of industrial designers including Serdal Korkut Avci, Ozgur Mutlu Oz, Can Onur Vanci, and Gorkem Gor, this interface design earned the Silver A' Design Award in the Interface, Interaction and User Experience Design category, recognizing its contribution to advancing kitchen technology and user experience.
