Vultura Watch is an innovative timepiece design that represents a bold departure from traditional watch aesthetics, featuring a distinctive vulva-shaped case that serves as both a functional timekeeper and a statement piece challenging conventional design norms. The watch, designed by a collaborative team including Vincent Ifrah, Cecilie Bluthardt, and Ellebasi Gebhardt, showcases a groundbreaking approach to watch design through its asymmetrical case measuring 36mm in height and 26mm in width, crafted from high-quality 316L steel. The design's most notable feature is its anatomically-inspired case shape, which incorporates a crown designed to represent the clitoris and a dial that reveals stylized vulval lips, making a powerful statement about diversity and body positivity in contemporary design. The watch employs a Quartz Miyota GL22 movement housed within a 6mm deep case, protected by hardened mineral K1 glass and featuring a refined mesh metal stainless steel strap. Manufactured in France with a focus on European craftsmanship, this timepiece combines artistic expression with practical functionality, maintaining water resistance up to 3 ATM. The design process, which spanned from 2021 to 2023, involved extensive prototyping and technical refinement to achieve its unique form factor, ultimately earning recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Watch Design category for its innovative approach to timepiece design. The watch's dial incorporates V-shaped hands and subtle gold accents, creating a sophisticated aesthetic that balances its bold conceptual statement with everyday wearability.
