Vive La Vie Residence

Vive La Vie Residence

Vive La Vie Residence is an award-winning residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of functional living spaces with bakery-inspired aesthetics, completed in July 2023 in Taiwan. This 135-square-meter apartment renovation, designed by Chun-Yu Chang, masterfully transforms a 28-year-old living space into a sophisticated retirement haven that celebrates the client's passion for baking through its architectural elements and design motifs. The interior scheme employs a thoughtful palette of light brown wood tones and creamy hues, complemented by graceful macaron-inspired curves and bread-like arches that create a warm, inviting atmosphere. The design's innovative approach to space planning incorporates professional baking equipment while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic flow throughout the residence. Notable technical achievements include the strategic resolution of low beam constraints through careful sprinkler repositioning and the implementation of fabric-patterned tiles that combine practicality with visual appeal. The project's distinctive features include masterfully executed curved elements, LED linear lighting along wall edges, and strategically placed windows that maximize natural light penetration and air circulation. The design earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in spatial innovation and functional design. The residence's layout thoughtfully addresses retirement living considerations through features such as a level-floor master bathroom design and equal distribution of private spaces, while the social areas accommodate seasonal functions and maintain the overall soft, sophisticated aesthetic that characterizes the project.
