Villair Residential Villa

Villair Residential Villa

Villair Residential Villa is an architecturally distinguished residential structure located in Hyogo, Japan, completed in 2017, that exemplifies innovative contemporary design through its harmonious integration with mountainous surroundings and sophisticated spatial composition. The three-story timber structure, encompassing 453.60 square meters on a site area of 809.42 square meters, demonstrates exceptional architectural ingenuity through its distinctive horizontal design elements, including a flat terrace, infinity pool, and deep eaves that effectively frame panoramic views while maintaining privacy. The villa's design philosophy centers on creating a floating sensation within the mountain landscape, achieved through careful consideration of sight lines and the strategic placement of architectural elements that obscure surrounding buildings while emphasizing the natural vista of sky, sea, and distant cityscape. The structure's sophisticated approach to privacy management, particularly notable in its innovative opening designs, creates an intimate living environment without compromising the expansive views. The integration of the parallel pool arrangement introduces a dynamic element to the design, offering varying aesthetic experiences between day and night, contributing to the villa's dramatic spatial quality. This architectural achievement, recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category in 2019, represents a masterful balance between functional residential design and artistic vision, particularly noteworthy for its successful resolution of privacy concerns while maintaining an open, floating aesthetic that complements its mountainous setting.
