The development, which garnered the prestigious Platinum A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design category, encompasses 13 detached villas spread across 3,800 square meters, including a folk custom museum and a restaurant with tea bar. The architectural intervention masterfully preserves and reimagines traditional Naxi dwellings while incorporating modern amenities for contemporary comfort. The project, completed in 2016, showcases innovative use of indigenous materials, particularly the distinctive 'monkey head' stone - a unique composite material between stone and mud that characterizes the local vernacular architecture. The complex features sophisticated design elements including steel reinforced concrete construction, traditional rooftop tiles, five-flower stone stacked sectioning finishes, and yellow mud coating on exterior walls, complemented by pine wood interiors treated with wax oil.
