Verdurous Home Residential Apartment

Verdurous Home Residential Apartment

Verdurous Home Residential Apartment is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of nature with contemporary living spaces, completed in January 2019 in Taichung, Taiwan. This 445-square-meter dwelling, designed by Chien-Neng Chang and Yu-Ying Sun, masterfully accommodates a family of five while incorporating distinctive vertical plant walls throughout its multi-level layout. The design philosophy centers on strengthening family bonds through thoughtful spatial arrangements, featuring interconnected public and private areas that symbolically represent familial relationships and business prosperity. The property's sophisticated design encompasses multiple floors, with the second floor hosting the main living space adorned with crystal-blue furnishings and carefully curated green elements that create an enlivening ambience. A notable Japanese-style parlor, elevated through recessed wall construction, offers panoramic outdoor views while maintaining intimate connection with nature. The private quarters, distributed across the third, fourth, and fifth floors, feature vertical grilles and four round plant walls that infuse vitality into each space. The master bedroom's distinct separation into resting and dressing areas, along with individually styled bedrooms for three daughters, demonstrates meticulous attention to personal needs while preserving family cohesion. The project, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2020, showcases exceptional material selection through its harmonious blend of woods, stones, and living plants, creating a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere that exemplifies contemporary residential design excellence.
