Vello Bar Cart

Vello Bar Cart

Vello Bar Cart is an exemplary piece of contemporary furniture design that masterfully blends Brazilian modernist aesthetics with warm minimalism, created by designer Fabricio Roncca. This sophisticated mobile bar unit, which earned the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, represents a thoughtful reimagining of the traditional bar cart, a furniture type particularly prevalent in Brazilian homes during the 1960s through 1980s. The design showcases a harmonious integration of molded carbon steel rebar and wood, complemented by a refined leather or eco-leather board top, measuring 134 centimeters in width, 64 centimeters in depth, and 65 centimeters in height. Its distinctive aesthetic draws inspiration from Brazilian avant-garde design principles while incorporating contemporary functionality, allowing versatile use as a bar, table, or sideboard. The name Vello references the design's dynamic qualities of speed and movement, reflected in its bold yet emotionally resonant form. The cart's construction demonstrates exceptional attention to structural integrity and visual balance, with carefully calibrated proportions between its wooden elements and metal framework. Developed between January and August 2017, this piece exemplifies the intersection of cultural heritage and modern design sensibilities, offering a fresh interpretation of traditional furniture typology while maintaining practical functionality and aesthetic refinement.
