Vanity Belongs To Jane Residential Space

Vanity Belongs to Jane Residential Space is an exemplary residential interior design project completed in 2022, showcasing a harmonious integration of modern architecture with natural elements and artistic sensibilities. Located in Zhejiang, China, this 1,600-square-meter space demonstrates a sophisticated approach to contemporary living through its innovative use of deconstructive design methodology and thoughtful material selection. Designer Haochen Su employed a minimalist philosophy of eliminating complexity and preserving simplicity while masterfully balancing virtual and real elements throughout the space. The project's distinctive features include the strategic use of linear concepts to define spatial boundaries, seamlessly connecting indoor and outdoor areas through carefully planned courtyard landscaping. The material palette combines volcanic stone, rock board, ceramic tile, copper board, wood finishes, and emulsion paint, creating a rich textural interplay that enhances the overall aesthetic experience. The design's emphasis on artistic integration is evident through the placement of sculptural elements and the innovative treatment of building blocks, where deliberate negative spaces contribute to a more refined and enduring atmosphere. This exceptional residential project, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, represents a significant achievement in contemporary residential design, particularly notable for its bold approach to spatial organization and its successful fusion of functionality with artistic expression. The design process involved comprehensive site analysis, conceptual development, and meticulous attention to the relationship between the built environment and its natural surroundings, resulting in a space that transcends mere functionality to become a meaningful repository of lifelong memories.
