V Series Orchard Mulcher

V Series Orchard Mulcher

V Series Orchard Mulcher is an innovative agricultural machinery design that represents a significant advancement in orchard maintenance equipment, characterized by its distinctive sharp motion-oriented lines and faceted surfaces that combine aesthetic appeal with functional efficiency. This sophisticated mulching system, designed by Vladimir Zagorac in collaboration with mechanical engineers, features a unique headstock inspired by the pyramid-like silhouette of Mount Rtanj, incorporating both symbolic significance and structural integrity. The machine's robust construction, utilizing welded steel with powder-coated or galvanized finishing, demonstrates exceptional attention to manufacturing precision and durability. With dimensions of 220cm width, 97cm depth, and 87cm height for the 200cm working grip model, this Silver A' Design Award-winning equipment showcases innovative features including a versatile side shift attachment frame accommodating front, rear, or dual tractor mounting options, available in both manual and hydraulic configurations. The design's emphasis on production efficiency is evident through its strategic use of laser cutting technology and minimal bend requirements, while its bold graphics and horse head-inspired side mask symbolize strength and reliability. The mulcher's sophisticated engineering allows for multiple variations, including different headstock options and output assemblies, with the capability to handle various working grips ranging from 155 to 200cm, making it particularly versatile for diverse orchard management requirements. The design's development, which spanned one and a half years, focused on achieving superior workmanship while maintaining European quality standards, resulting in a machine that effectively balances aesthetic appeal with practical functionality, earning recognition in the Agricultural Tools, Farming Equipment and Machinery Design category at the prestigious A' Design Award competition.
