USAePay Office Space
USAePay Office Space is an innovative interior design project that transformed a former industrial warehouse into a sophisticated, high-tech office environment, earning recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category. This 167-square-meter workspace, complemented by a 70-square-meter loft addition, masterfully preserves and enhances the industrial character of its original structure while incorporating contemporary design elements. Designed by Hootan Hamedani, the space deliberately maintains material authenticity by exposing structural and non-structural elements, creating a unique aesthetic that bridges industrial heritage with modern functionality. The design philosophy emphasizes transparency in construction, featuring exposed metal surfaces, structural bolts, high-tech glass installations, and mechanical elements as integral design components. Custom-crafted light fixtures and carefully selected furniture pieces reinforce the space's technological persona, while the innovative two-level layout accommodates both open collaborative areas and private workspaces. The ground floor serves as a versatile open office and conference area, while the ingeniously integrated loft space, despite height constraints and existing truss complications, houses a break room and private conference facilities. The project, completed in 2015 in Glendale, California, demonstrates exceptional space optimization and technological integration, with LED lighting systems and sharp material choices creating an engaging work environment. The design's success in balancing industrial authenticity with contemporary office requirements earned it recognition from the A' Design Award, highlighting its contribution to innovative workplace design.
