Up-Side-Down Lamp is an innovative lighting fixture that exemplifies minimalist design principles through its elegant simplicity and versatile functionality. Created by Greek designer Sergios Fotiadis, this sustainable lighting solution consists of two precisely engineered plywood components and an electrical assembly, demonstrating remarkable efficiency in both material usage and manufacturing processes. The lamp's distinctive form is directly influenced by the shape of its light bulb, creating a harmonious relationship between form and function. Its design allows for exceptional versatility in positioning, functioning effectively as a floor lamp, table lamp, or ceiling-mounted fixture, adapting to diverse spatial requirements and user preferences. The lamp incorporates a textile-covered cable available in various colors, enabling aesthetic customization to suit different interior environments. Manufactured using CNC milling technology, the design showcases meticulous attention to detail in its construction, with carefully calculated corners and precise material specifications. The lamp employs either a 4-watt LED filament bulb or a 40-watt Edison lamp, emphasizing energy efficiency while producing ambient illumination. Measuring 190 mm x 190 mm x 340 mm, the lamp's dimensions were strategically determined to optimize material usage during production, reflecting a commitment to sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
