Unmounted Spectacle Frames

Unmounted Spectacle Frames

Unmounted spectacle frames refer to the frames of eyeglasses that are sold without lenses. These frames are designed to hold prescription lenses, which can be added later by an optometrist or an optician. Unmounted spectacle frames are available in a wide range of styles, materials, and colors, and they can be customized to fit the wearer's face and personal preferences. One of the main advantages of unmounted spectacle frames is that they offer greater flexibility and convenience than pre-made eyeglasses. Because they are sold without lenses, wearers can choose the type of lens that best suits their needs, whether it be single vision, bifocal, or progressive lenses. Additionally, unmounted frames can be adjusted to fit the wearer's face more precisely, ensuring a comfortable and secure fit. Unmounted spectacle frames are typically made from a variety of materials, including metal, plastic, and acetate. Metal frames are often made from lightweight and durable materials such as titanium, stainless steel, or aluminum. Plastic frames are also popular, and can be made from materials such as cellulose acetate, nylon, or polycarbonate. These materials offer a range of benefits, such as durability, flexibility, and resistance to breakage. In summary, unmounted spectacle frames are a popular choice for those who prefer the flexibility and convenience of customizing their eyeglasses to their specific needs. They offer a wide range of styles, materials, and colors, and can be adjusted to fit the wearer's face more precisely. With the ability to add prescription lenses later, unmounted frames provide a versatile and cost-effective solution for those in need of corrective eyewear.
