Unlimited Happiness Gift Box Set

Unlimited Happiness Gift Box Set

Unlimited Happiness Gift Box Set is an innovative paper sample catalog and Chinese New Year gift box that seamlessly combines traditional cultural elements with contemporary design aesthetics. This multifunctional packaging design, created by Mike Wong and Kaci Cheung, exemplifies the sophisticated integration of fine paper, printing effects, and thoughtful structural design. The hexagonal-shaped box, divided into three distinct layers, draws inspiration from the traditional Chinese lucky saying of never-ending 3s and 6s, symbolizing infinity and wealth. Each layer serves multiple purposes: the top layer functions as a teapot coaster with gold-stamped themed designs and insulating material, the middle layer houses two hexagonal red packet packages featuring whimsical New Year alien mascots inspired by traditional elements such as lion dancers and lanterns, and the base layer contains traditional Fai Chun decorations that transform into a decorative vase container. The design's innovative approach to combining practical functionality with cultural significance earned it a Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, recognizing its contribution to advancing packaging design through its creative use of materials, structural innovation, and cultural relevance. The gift box, measuring 160mm x 190mm x 210mm, showcases various printing effects and paper textures to deliver a premium tactile experience while demonstrating the possibilities of combining paper, printing, and design in contemporary packaging solutions. This comprehensive design solution addresses the modern need for convenient yet meaningful gift-giving during Chinese New Year celebrations, while simultaneously serving as an innovative promotional tool for demonstrating the versatility of paper products and printing techniques.
